Welcome to Thurston Sixth, Beyton Campus

Space to think. Space to develop. Space to learn.

Mr Paul Potter, Vice Principal, Head of Sixth Form

After two years of great inspiration and perspiration on their sixth form studies, I would like to wish all our current Year 13 students all the very best for their forthcoming exams. As a collective, they have been creative, kind, dedicated to their studies and have made an unforgettable contribution to our community.

Our Year 12 students have completed their end of year exams and they are now looking toward to their pathway beyond Thurston Sixth.  On Tuesday 12 June those intending to apply to university will have the opportunity to visit the UCAS Convention being held in Ipswich. During ‘Beyond Beyton Week’ from 2-6 July 2018, our students will have dedicated time to explore UCAS applications, apprenticeships, careers with ex-students and speakers coming from near and far to share their wisdom and expertise.

Year 11 students who have applied for Sixth Form …

Students will have begun their exams and I wish them the very best of luck.  Just a few dates of note for the coming weeks:

  • Offer letters sent to Year 11 students (24 May 2018).  This will include the courses students are planning to study and details of the Induction Days.
  • Induction Week (25 – 29 June 2018) – all applicants must attend Sixth Form and begin their courses (Please do not book a holiday at this time – I have explained this on Open Evening as well as in assemblies)
  • Results Day (23 August 2018) – students must register at Beyton and confirm their application choice
